Dr. Rachna Kumar

Dr. Kumar is Dean and professor of information systems and technology in the School of Management and Leadership at Alliant International University. She is based on the main campus in San Diego, California.

Dr. Kumar has experience teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels in analytics, technology, and business strategy. She has consulted for several firms in U.S., Mexico, Turkey, and India and is an active member of the academic community as journal reviewer, as member of advisory panels, and as member of editorial boards. She has published or presented more than 75 articles in research publications during her academic career of 25 years. She also has experience as Principal Investigator in funded programs and grants. In her Dean’s role, her experience includes strategy and planning for revenue and growth, innovation in program design,

modalities and delivery, online expansion strategies, and consulting for business turnaround strategies and government grants. This includes a focus on STEM programs at the bachelors and master’s level. Under her management, new MS programs in Healthcare Analytics, an MS in Data Analytics an MS in Information Systems and Analysis and a BS Information Systems and Analysis in were introduced. She has a Ph.D. in Information Systems from Stern School of Business at New York University, New York.
